Bruce Hallett appointed president and CEO
New York (April 2, 2018) – The Stuart Dean Company announces the appointment of Bruce Hallett as president and CEO taking the helm on the retirement of interim president James Degan.
Hallett has been a member of Stuart Dean’s board of directors since 2011.

Hallett most recently served as publisher at Playbill magazine. He has served as CEO of Murdoch Books, based in Sydney, Australia and was president of MyPublisher, an Internet-based photo book publisher based in New York. He has also served as a consultant to a variety of companies, including Institutional Investor, News Corp and Veria. Bruce’s professional experience also includes an impressive career with Time-Warner, where he was president of Time Magazine and Sports Illustrated. Hallett also served as managing director of Time, Inc. Magazines Pty., Ltd.
A graduate of Princeton and Columbia Business School, he has served as a trustee of Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire.
